oh, Christmas Tree

Because we are traveling for the holidays this year, we decided not to buy a Christmas tree. But that didn't mean we couldn't have one...the boys put together this cloth (sheet) tree with hand-made ornaments clipped with clothespins, a paper chain and paper star.
Works for me!

snow, snow and more snow

Over the holidays, our travel plans worked out perfectly. Todd snuck out of NJ at 7:30 am on Sunday morning. The snow started at 9:30am. The boys and I were to leave on Tuesday at 4pm, just in time for the airports to open up and get caught up with their flights. We did have a 3 hour delay but it beat the 3 and 4-day delays other travelers were stuck with.

Turns out we were part of the epicenter of the storm and my dad measured 27 inches on the patio table, a non-drift zone. The quick snaps below show some of the impact and fun we experienced the day after the storm.
